were around 300,000 peaceful demonstrators. |

atmosphere was colourful, festive, singing, chanting and
dancing. |

was a strong sense of solidarity. |

hard to convey the impact of such a massive demonstration:-
Picture
a full dual carriageway road, with a broad promenade at least 30 feet
wide. Solid with people! Waving flags, chanting. So many
people that they took at least four hours to pass the San Antonio Church
in Boccadese. |
